hi anna, please dont get me wrong but you dont seem as chilled as i would have expected. [6 years in relaxed country...]
i understand the weather is great out there but you owe no one any explanations here.
infact despite being in such a relaxed enviroment you seem stressed at comments made towards you posts...
i could talk about cyprus just as much, but i think it would be out of gwoa
main criteria.
lifes what we make of it i guess and we must just get on with it.
being a person of faith must also make you understand that HE tests us all the time with everything we go through.
NOW, forget the 'wish you were here......' topic and show us some axle twisting G photos, not maybachs or slr's.
woodlands, landscapes with your 250GD please. thats all i personally would like to see and read..
and i wish everyone here the best of health for 2009!

........does that mean you won't be detouring through Bulgaria in January?
Anna, im begining to think the 320 days of sun are getting to you, or all that guitar playing and singing at your "born again" sunday morning visits. yes its cheap out there but life is what you make it, if we can afford to live in the UK and be happy, whats wrong with that ?
peter perfect spending £400 year on gas/electric £900 on council tax, £6000 on a mortgage, but still having enough to enjoy my life. happy days and sundays hallelujah!
I was getting really excited about a house for £600. but there is none here

Is it a IFA then or Industrieverband Fahrzeugbau?
chris, i might just cross through bulgaria if i dont take the ferry from ancona[italy] to igounamitsa[greece]
there are many turks that live in bulgaristan [as we pronounce it].
i remember when i was 16, we drove through bugaristan yugoslavya
the amount of stop checks we had in these two countries, and the the corrupt police.....
we got ripped off at a petrol station and and almost robbed at a roadside cafe......
i am glad its all changed now.....plus the weather then was no way 320 sunny days of the year....snow , snow, and more snow!! i will never forget the bottle of water leaning by the side window was frozen.
but our 300GD never faultered, per class!

Is it a Sachasenring or AWE?
nuts are tight but screws are loose now me thinks . lock it down admin. enough of sun, religion, tits and how to make money, where ever you live :!:
Anna,
I seriously don’t recognise your description of the UK, but then you have made a couple of huge errors. Statistics don’t equal facts and the UK Police service has been turned into a data entry bureau (shame that it always seems to be the wrong data) which in turn churns out a bunch of meaningless KPI’s. This misleading, useless junk is then regurgitated by lazy journalists.
If we forget to lock up when we go out it’s no big deal, leave the keys in the car overnight, never lost one yet but I guess I shouldn’t push my luck.
Having said that you had me convinced. The for sale sign was going up and our bags were packed. Then you ruined it, shopping malls aahhh, McDonalds, KFC and final straw chav’s driving around in Maybach’s. Quite possible the most tasteless abomination on 4 wheels ever. Oh and bleating about how much we’ve lost on our properties, how very English. I didn’t think you could lose something you didn’t have in the first place.
I will concede the rest does look good though, but then it’s not that bad here either
Sorry to go off topic but..........
Russ - how did you get on with that Morris synthetic oil in the diffs and tran case?
I said to myself I would not post, however in your Zeal to point out things Unimog is NOT a noobie - look at the date he joined - just soft words, strongly spoken
And Russ 280 - what a great view and excellent use of reflective photography (Just please tell me its not Bulgaria!)
I must ask Anna - can you do oil filters on a 500?, with the obvious cost of petrol, Mercedes World Servicing and genuine Merc parts - I could do with a holiday and a car service - maybe even save a penny or two.
Spider1V - Helpful hint to a multi posting noobie - not polite to criticise spelling.... :P 8)
Ah what a relief, back to stuff I understand :D :D
Well it’s still in there I.E. it hasn’t knackered the seals, spewed the contents and caused an environmental catastrophe.
Stood up to the 58 Celsius Sahara. Put some synthetic ATF in the gearbox too.
Very easy to convince yourself but the gearbox and transfer case it could be slightly quieter. Way better value and to the same spec. as stuff like redline.

My appologies - only teasing

What would you recomend for a 500 Synth? Will have a B service in about 3800 miles and just wanted to see wich was better (any way would still beat DentSmithy in a sprint back from the pub........So long as I don't overshoot the drive.... again! :P )
Spider1V - Yes DS its a challenge......
And Russ 280 - what a great view and excellent use of reflective photography (Just please tell me its not Bulgaria!)

Nah Croatia
(not really a couple miles down the road from where we live part time, Wales)
