hi guys, I'M sure a few of you have seen pictures of one of my other projects the black edition, as I like to call its another swb truck cab with a alloy drop side body.
this has been built to a higher standard (read more time consuming) than the ktm G wagen, as I plan on using it as a daily-ish driver, I didn't paint this one myself, its merc 199 black by the way, but as with the orange one Ive made every thing for it myself, apart from wheels, tyres and lights.
hope to get most of the exterior back together over christmas, have to get my old man in realy good form for lifting the cage back on with our hiab, Id think Id cry if the paint got scratched!!
any way Ill post more pictures as it comes along!

this is what it looked like befor being striped for painting/shot-blasting/power-coating etc

powder-coated bumpers, cage, and rock-sliders

I know, one thing just led to another with this one too!!
the love of G wagens is a powerful thing!!
I joined the club in 2006, just didn't renew my membership last year, I was too busy building the two G's

PS, I'M looking with a passing interest for a suitable lwb 463 for next project!

I have as it happens, ive been building a new cage/back end, mini ground anchor, for my utv, and a new winch bumper for it, just finished painting the body work, bonnet, wings, grille etc, bmw hot orange, and have done the cage and bumper in vw charcoal grey.

no 1/2 scale G front end for it though, still has the grand Cherokee style front on it which is a shame, its nearly finished, just to wire lights cb etc will post pictures soon, but will be getting back to finishing the black edition this week, promise!

nothing superfluous here!
In fact could do with a few more switches!
might have to move the electric window ones, as need one for electric fans, and want to do a hi and low boost setting via a 12v solenoid valve switching to a bleed type valve...but might scrap that with the impending 606 install! :D
