I did say before that I "was out" on this topic, however, I do think your post require a response.

Fred, firstly may I say that everybody needs ot remain calm and express themselves in a temperate manner. You are absolutley correct in saying that there is a way of doing things. But that way is not silence. We live in an age of immediate news, when an issue arises it needs to be dealt with in a timely manner, if a space is left unfilled someone else will fill it. As soon as the issue became apparant there should have been an announcement giving brief facts and assurances that the mattter was being looked into and that in due course members would be given the detail.

That did not happen, management remained silent. The silence was damaging.

Also you seem to be asserting that the reason for the management silence was that the issue arose during the festive period. I am not sure that that is a credible explanation, particulary as we now know that this is not the first time the issue as arisen. In any event, how would you feel if you had been robbed only to be told that the authorities would not deal with tthe matter because it was the festive season, or that the fire brigade would not turn out because they were having their Christmas dinner.
