URGENT - Seals for front axle 300GD244 - 1989 - RHD
The Chassis n° is WDB46033227058944;
I can't find the replacement seals for the big swivle joints, nor can the local Mercedes dealer ... even with the build card.
Has anyone else had similar problems ?

Could you be more specific describing the required parts?
Which seals do you refer to?
All axle seals are available as spare parts from MB.
There might be some problem with your vehicle's documentation in EPC, or an error in EPC itself.
Could you identify them in the attached picture?

Hello Fred,
It seems that you need the joint housing to axle joint heads seals.
According to the EPC and your vehicle's datacard (which includes the correct axle number 730.300 (20) H005863) you need the following parts:
Item 74 - A 460 331 05 58, Seal Holder, Inside, Qty. 2
Item 83 - A 460 331 01 80, Gasket, Ball, Qty. 2
Item 86 - A 460 331 00 80, Gasket, Ball, Qty. 2
Item 80 is not needed.
Item 77 is only needed if damaged (usually is not).
The seal replacement is a labour intensive operation so I would suggest that you also consider replacing the wheel bearings (if not already replaced) and also the drive shaft bellows which are usually damaged.
You should thorough clean the inside of the joint housings from old grease and pack them with appropriate fresh grease:
MB Wheel Bearing Grease A 001 989 34 51 10 (~5kg)
MB Wheel Bearing Grease A 001 989 34 51 11 (~400g)
In case the drive shaft bellows are damaged and need to be changed you should pack them with:
MB Long-life grease A 000 989 63 51 11 (~400g)

The parts I need I think (I'm no expert as a mechanic or as a computer user) are 80 74 83 86 I think 77 is metal so I can reuse that I suppose.
Tomorrow I will take a photo of the axle and the info plate on it.
I have had a selection seals from MB but not the correct ones.
I have reassembled the axle so that I could use the vehicule without the last big seal I've used it as little as possible, I hope I havn't damaged it
I'll send the photo tomorrow. It is so nice to talk to someone other than Mercedes. They have been messing me about for 3 months I just can't believe the level of incompetance of the "expert that I'm talking to
