Stuck Bonnet
Hi guys, can't open my bonnet, any advise appreciated. I pull the lever the bonnet comes up an inch or two but it remains stuck. I managed to push the latch with a metal ruler to try & release it so that i can lift it up but still no joy.
do you have a LHD or RHD - I seemed to remeber talking to Maxwell Smart on this and there is a knack to it, depending on the LHD/RHD. ON my RHD, I flip the latch and thing have to push the latch in quite away, this is on a 500. I thing on some you actually pull it towards you... but I am not THAT technical....

Hi
the lever that controls the main lock releases a pin located in the centre of the bonnet ..one released the bonnet will lift one to two inches and then the secondary safety catch has to be operated manually from either the left or right side of the centre pin either by pushing backwards or upwards..shine a torch in with the bonnet lifted to maximum and you will the secondary catch locking arm ..drop the bonnet very slightly and either push the arm backwards or forwards to open the bonnet....*** is this the first time you have opened the bonnet since September ????

Mine is the 300 RHD which i brought from Goochie last September.
