I am finally getting around to changing out the faulty motor on my drivers side window. I have source the Bosch motor as per information from previous posts on the forum. I would like to know if anyone has any advice on changing out the motor. I have previously taken off the door panel but any pointers from there on would be much appreciated.

I have looked though previous topics and seen mention of using wooden posts to hold the glass in place while working on the mechanism, but others say to remove the glass before changing the motor.

Thanks
Alex

Re: electric window motor change out

Motor successfully changed last night after a bit of cursing & swearing. I reckon I saved £500+ over the price local Mbz dealer would have charged for the motor + fitting. Result!
