emergency in iceland.
Dear all,
I am in iceland in one of the most remote parts.
(the westfjords)
The G 270 (long) has two broken rear springs.
Who has a solution? Who can point me to someone in iceland with G spares.
Who can send some springs express to iceland?
any ideas?
I can't go on the internet unless i find a library here (very seldom)

I think it is best if we just courier the springs to him, I know him, and he is good for the money. Has anybody got 2 lying about? I'll pay for it and get the money back from Geoff. If no replies by 12, I will order new springs, and this time heavy duty ones.
If you get stuck I have a set of almost unused heavy duty rears for a G500.
They are Monroe SP0563 from S&M Springs. I put them on but thought they made the G sit a bit higher, not sure if they did, but two weeks later I went back to MB OEM springs.
I paid £172 for the set.
If you want them I will need some help with the DHL bit as I have not done it before.
sorry to hear of your troubles. there is a strong g wagen community in iceland and 'Loki' on this and the P3 forum should be able to help or advise - some aftermarkets should be available.
if anyone does send springs carefull not to incur import duty by sending 'secondhand' and keep the value low. don't know about iceland but morocco is 100% on new parts.
