Where do I start to take my dash out? I need to sort out my heater valve, my heater doesn't switch of properly.

It just pulls out. You need to remove the steering wheel first.
If the dash has been out before it may be a bit easier. There are special pullers available from MB £10 for the pair, but I have managed with just using my fingers on the side and wiggling it out.

Hi Christo remove the horizontal centre console ( two star head screws hold the vertical part to the fascia and remove the high - low range gaiter from the flange it fits over and feel for another star head screw offset to the left holding the rear of the panel flush to to the surround) removescrew and lift panel unplug the switches remove the ashtray and unclip the cigar lighter illumination.....the panel should now be free to put to remove ...exposed will be the centre console substructure and gear lever assembly which must be removed to allow hand access to the area of the heater matrix /box and controls..see you Email for schematic...
