yes, it's beautifull but gettingback from the beach after it rains can be a bit messy - especially when the locals don't have 4wd

Limitad wi fi access here so don't expect quick or coherent replies.

Tyres are 35" cooper stts

Yes we drove all the way
Portsmouth - Bilbao
Algecerias Tangere med

as for the mud it is nasty fine clay - we had to do a 1in 3 hill with the locals on the back and when I went to the 'Lavage' they refused to clean it.

Maybe not in our lifetimes, but we've been there, and worse. Don't see many E-numbers on those carcasses either (just e-coli). They should enjoy the freedom, like the french.

Re: Hi There

My advice would be to try to buy a live chicken, it's not that difficult to clean. It is a lot easier to skin a chicken than to pluck. On my trips through Africa I always buy a live chicken and a goat, it is cheap enough to eat what you can and give the left overs to the locals.

Another tip would be that fresh meat can almost never be to rotten, as long as you finish it just after it has been cooked, NEVER reheat.

The locals eat it and are ok, so go for it, me, I'll just nip down to Sainsbury's for a nice piece of fillet.

I believe that it offers a number of succesive uses. Some others might argue that some of these can also be repeated at a later stage. For details, please look into the "adults only" section of the forum.

Re: Hi There

hi huss,
the 230 is doing fine, in england it always ran at 85 and in africa it always runs at 95 regardless. I keep thinking I should move the spots to give a bit more airflow - maybe tomorrow . I have always thought the 230 engine from the 1980s was a little gem and have probably done close to a million miles on 4 of them - this one has 200,000 before the rebuild and 40,000 since.

clocks s/h from ebay mount made from rescued road sign - very nice grey but the back is a bit hi vis.

best local habit so far is a policeman who stops me everytime he sees me to share wine, usualy mine and he says he doesn't mind if I speed because I will havegood breaks being a mercedes - obviously never driven an overloaded g wagen in need of new pads and rear cylinder.

bloody foreigners  :!:
