Just a quick update, not posted for a while.
The latest pics of the old girl :) just got to sort the interior now. I have found a company which is prepared to take on the project.
Will keep you updated on the progress.

jmoriss, i am thinking of restoring another recent purchase on these lines..[1979 model 300gds, barn doors,colorado beige,bbs alloys etc...] i am thinking of adding the 463 optics and using the led' too,looks fab!
could you please break down what you paid for each part and where to buy them from?

The head lights are my second set, I binned the angel eys as the were shocking quality. After aboout a month the LED's started to fail, which looked aweful.
The brabus day running lights are my fav purchase, they were expensive though, they were from www.fourbyfourclub.com
All im looking for now is the correct MB wheel cover and im just about finished. still not put my big brake kit on it yet, may get round to it this weekend.

You need the indicator mirrors though, I quite like the chrome front bar, what's the merc next to it ?
This might be an alternative source for the LED DRLs but not sure if it's cheaper than the US source or dearer..but a bit closer to home:

Not sure of the code, but it was an MB colour "meteorgrau" it looks fantastic in the flesh.
