Insurance for 300 GES automatic
If you have the above don't bother approaching Aviva for Ins. It does not exist and therefore cannot be insured! They'll do a manual though!!
Spent half an hour with these people (I have an SL60 and an ML500 insured with them) who will not recognise it exists.
Went with NFU. No probs
dont get me started on aviva, they are a bloody joke it was who my range rover was insured with, i ended up going into the offices in town in the end after they wouldnt give me a courtesy car after i got ran into, would never use them again!
Used Admiral ever since and they have been great, even the lovely welsh accents on the phone love to have banter when you call them!
How do you qualify for NFU insurance, I used to live on a farm but i am guessing thats not a good enough link....
Tom
Anyone can get it, they're a mutual, a bit like the co-op I think but I guess to be a member you have to be in agriculture???
Lancaster do a good flat rate policy for 2nd/3rd cars that neither takes into account nor gives no claims bonus. I insured my 500SL for £220 and I'm (only!) 30.
re NFU you don't have to be a farmer! I know as I have used them for the past 4 or so years. Been great, the only insurance company who when I said G500, said 'OK what year?'
If your outside a major city they can be very competitive! Price wise. Somewhere on the forum there is an insurance link, with a number of insurance companies to chose from. Enter into the search function and see what comes up (From memory it was something to do with elephant.co.uk)
