wind screen side gutters
I am not sure what they are called, but it's the inserts that suround the rain gutters on the roof and continue through the sides of the wind screen to reach the bonnet/hood.
I am in the process of a facelift for my 1993 W463 and I need to fabricate these parts as they come only in the newer models.
SO can anyone do me this huge favour. If possible I need the dimensions required for fabrication and/or a close up pictures of the thing

If I understand you correctly...save yourself the hassle of fabrication, the part can be bought at the dealer, I think you are looking at part number 15 in the picture:

they're just a cover which are riveted to the existing gutters... as M2dxb says go buy them and save yourself the hassle. they're not that expensive.

thats aint cheap, do they work, ie worth the money ?
it sure ain't cheap. the body shop guy here agreed to do the fabrication for an extra fee added to the cost of the whole body paint.
this is why i am considering a fabrication.
If no dimensions available I might have to show him some pics. He said he can eye ball it.

they are actually very very benificial on a 463 in stopping the wind noise that hits the front rain gutter at speeds over 60 mph.
if you have a 460 dont bother! :shock:
if you have mt tires dont bother.
if you have 463 petrol G, its worth it :wink: they DO work :wink:

and yes I do have a petrol w463.
250 euro would be whay too much, they guy can do great fabrications he just needs a reference. It will cost me to the tune of 20 euros maybe. :D

Having owned a G both with and without them - I can say they make a night and day difference to wind noise on the motorway.
Didn't realise they were quite that much! I would check with Tschiewagon in Austria as he often has used ones...
BTW if you can get them for €20 then you should make some extras and sell them...
