2002 463 two different electrical problems.
There are two electric problems in my car that I need to solve...
1) the bottom part (seat cushion) of the driver seat heater doesn't work. Any ideas on how or where to fix this? MB scared me by saying that it would be +700€ to change heater net. And I am a huge fan of my seat heater!!!
2) parc distance control stopped working...is there a fuse for this?
(by the way the 270's manual doesn't have a fuse box listing.... to change a fuse you are supposed to go to the dealer. So if anyone can obtain a fuse listing for that car.)
thx,
Geoffrey
Fuse listing should be in the fusebox itself. Which I think is in two separate places on the G270 but somebody else can probably give more help here...
Mine had fuse listing on the cover of the fuse boxe ....
Geoffrey did you try the 463 info access on the menu on the left of this page?
I know it is for the US-market (mostly G500) but many of the systems might be common to yours as it has the later interior, you might be able to find the location of the electronic modules:

I think the PTS (parktronic system) is located in the rear left quarter-panel as shown below:

amazing!
thank u...and how do you access these drawings and schematics online???
G
Anytime :D
The EPC is what MB uses at dealers to find the right parts to fix your car with, and with some practise you can become more proficient at it than most dealers, as they rarely deal with Gs but you deal with it everyday:

I rarely ask my local dealer to look up parts for me in case they get it wrong - I mostly take the numbers to them and inquire about price/availability.
The "463 info access" is I think what is used to train technicians before they work on the cars, hence it contains a greatly simplified version of the Workshop Info System (WIS) which dealers use to fix the cars. This is a great perk of GWOA membership, as they have made it available online for members for a while now, but few people realise it's there or how useful it is!
There are off-line versions, but the disadvantage is they are not as up-to-date as the official MB one, and some part numbers do change with time (now as an individual in the EU you can buy yearly access for yourself for something like €20):

Unofficial standalone versions are available on ebay (these are for all MB vehicles):

Or there are G-specific ones sold by Harald in the USA:

hmm...I know where the fuse boxes are
1 is under the glove box and the other is on the right side of the transmission tunnel. I didn't see any listings?
