Hi
Both inside door handles on my 91GES are broken at the front end
I guess the weight of the doors over the years has taken its toll. I suspect this is a common failure ?
I think they are cast with plastic covering so cannot be repaired
any ideas on where to source new/old or a repair ?
thanks
tim

Re: Door handles 91 GES

I've made a metal patch attached with 2-3 small screws with nuts. Patch is attached to the bigger part of the handle. The other end of the patch goes under handle's screw. Keep also the the broken lip in it's place, patch goes under it.
I've fixed two handles like this.

Re: Door handles 91 GES

Hi if the broken section is the end that is held by one screw under the wooden trim this can be repaired with "araldite" or a similar two pack hard setting bonding kit...put it on with some bulk at the break as it can be filed back into the correct profile to allow the wooden cap to be put back*** if the pegs are broken on the wooden cap use number plate adhesive pads to hold it in place...handy if you need to remove the door card at a later date to service the window regulator......
