Horn doesn't work anymore...

I cannot even remember when was the last time I used it... wanted to get the attention of somebody this afternoon, but when I pressed the thing and found that it doesn't work anymore :(

Any ideas?

is your steering wheel a standard item? I ask because when I fitted an Italvolanti leather one to mine I blew the fuse, so my first port of call would be the fuse tray.

Thanks Paul... my steering wheel is a standard one. I will have a look at the fuse box later, is that located under the grove box? I have a LHD tho, hope it's the same :D

Hi Fuse number 11....but if your indicators are working and your mirrors adjust that is not the problem...if you have been in the mud the horns can clog and not vibrate...remove the grill and tap them with a metal object with someone pressing the steering wheel bar.....also look for corroded wiring behind the horns.....

It looks like the horns are kaputt or corroded wiring... since the indicators and the mirrors adjust are working fine.

Perhaps one more place to look would be behind the steering wheel boss (easily removable by pulling at it, starting at one side, as it has no airbag). Might be that the wires behind there got loose, or are not making contact. There should be 4 springs in the corners that allow you to "push" down on the boss, occasionally they break or lose their "springiness"...making the horn engage unintentionally when you touch the boss.
