The G is now on MBUK!
Maybe many of you have noticed that already... the G is now on MBUK's main site!
At last they have come to their senses !
I visited MB World at Brooklands today.
No G's to be seen.
No literature.
No obvious interest.
I did an AMG experience. The driver did not know about the G55.
Upstairs behind closed doors I spotted an SLS, multiple SLR's and a G55 (Guard?) not on public view.
Something wrong here? Or is it just me?
Are they just about to relaunch the G RHD?
Is the SLS not the biggest story in supercars right now?
Is the split with McLaren so acrimonious that all the SLR's are parked up (at least 7 of them hidden away in car parks) ?
Like I say, maybe it's just me...
Otherwise the whole Mercedes-Benz World experience was excellent and is very much worth the effort.
Eddie.

So, one can assume that the demonstrator[s] have not arrived yet. They G' are scheduled to go on sale in October; obviously quite a bit of work to do yet. I've got an English translation of the German G Professional Pricelist, which indicates that some work has already been done. It will be interesting to see how good the right hand conversion is e.g. whether the handbrake will be on the left or the right. I, like most everyone else, am guilty of some impatience. I'm not going to visit Brooklands until there are G' to look over.
The demonstrators are there. A G55 and a Guard. There should be a G350 coming in the next few weeks too. Perhaps the G55 was out on a test drive or in the lot...
However what I find odd is how they show the SWB G on the menu but are only officially importing LWB....

I think they cannot be bothered to take another photo of the LWB? That's the standard photo on other countries' MB site.
Yeah, they have obviously simply duplicated the German website and translated it into English
Yet to see a SLS in real-life...
