Smoking a stogey!
Here I am, in the balcony of my bungalow of the Hotel JardÃÂn Tecina, in Playa de Santiago, La Gomera, Canary Islands, smoking a Robusto from the neighbouring island of La Palma, at 24º and looking forward to a nice dinner under the stars... better look it up in Google Earth here:

Yes, I came with my G, which by the way misses a lot my weekly outings into the mountains of Wadi-al-Hajara (واديالØÂجارة)
By the way... I am sorely missing all by mates at the GWOA... it's about time that we organize a get-together in the factory again!
Cheers!

nah, dont like wood and carpets, plastic and leather for me sunshine.
PP if its a diesel check the injectors my last two LC's (Not Amazons) with the 3 ltr D required new injectors every 12k miles or so and none of cheap supermarket plonk only Shell or BP's finest I may add. I wonder if the cost accountants have had a Mercedes late nintes accendency period when everything became engineered down to cost rather than capability and reliability!
Plus you can luxuriate in that remarkable grey leather seat trim that reminds you of that particucar tint of grery plastic slip on's that men of certain age begin to think are acceptable to be seen in  I think it is a wonderful manufactoring skill to make leather look like plastic :D
I have the 80 series 4.2td, only one to have, only things to look out for are the big end bearings, getting them changed at a cost of £65 plus 2 hours labour for piece of mind.
