It is incredible how strong normal "truck tie down webbing" is. I got a old oily piece from Russ a few months ago and have been using it as a tow rope ever since. (It has seen a lot of work)

Yesterday a 16 ton furniture truck got stuck just below my house, so out came the webbing tow rope. My car was on the tarmac road, while the truck was on a dirt track, but I couldn't move it. At one stage I had all 4 285 wheels smoking on the road, but the truck didn't move. Seeing that I have a clicking cv, I thought I'll just break it and get it over with, so I got some slack in the rope and jerked it, still didn't move.

I then got a 200hp 4x4 tractor in front of the G, still connected with the webbing, but still didn't move the truck. At the end a big recovery had to come out at £600 to get it back on the road.

My webbing tow rope is still in the back of my car, amazing stuff.

Re: Strong webbing

Yep, it is. We threw that stuff out maybe 7 or 8 years ago because it was thought as unsafe

Well if 313 horses and 8 locked wheels can't break it...
