Does anyone have any suggestions?

The front interior light only operates manually, I have checked the door switches, which appear ok but there doesn't appear to be any power going to either switch. However, when I bridge the positive and negative on the switches I can hear what sounds like a relay under the dash somewhere.

Thanks
Colin

If you havent fixed it yet. Remove the glove box, 6 cross head screws 3 down each side. pull it out and put on back seat where you wont stand on it, (experience) look inside the cavity to the left you will see a relay change it and that should solve the problem.
When you replace the glove box, make sure you locate its slot onto the tongue at the back.

Thanks Bill and no I haven't fixed it yet.

Have you any idea what the part number is for the relay? Or can these be bought at any garage?

Regards
Colin

It sounds as if he has picked up a live connection to the alarm from the door light switch. He has most probably messed up the interior light as a result. You really need to get him back to sort it out (if you trust him) If you do it yourself you will void the waranty.
It also sounds as though he has been fairly rough with the rest of your wires since other items are now u/s.
