Ultimate GPS for offroading and caravaning
As the title says, I just bought the latest GPS from Memory Map which is a 7" touch screen with built in navigation and ordanace survey maps form memory map.
Well after a whole day of fiddling and testing I still haven't broken it.
Its a brilliant bit of kit with a clear screen and easy to use, the navigation side of the system uses snooper software and you can choose to have a caravan/trailer on and how long and wide it is or be a motorhome to stop you going down narrow or low routes. So ideal to getting to events or laning. You can also download speed cameras updates for £29 a year.
I bought a 16gb sd card and installed it so I have the whole of the UK 1 to 50,000 and most of France in memory map format and also all of morocco in fugawi format. So ideal for all your offroading.
Just remember you can only install your maps in a maximum of 400mb sections because the processor can't open larger sections of map at a time just like a PDA.
One more thing, the screen favours the use of a stylus rather than fingers.
The bluetooth is easy to connect to with your mobile phone and easy to use with brilliant sound quality, the only downside is you loose the mapping or navigation whilst on a call.
Will all that don't forget you also have freeview TV built in so good for camping and keeping the kids happy.
The system attaches to the screen by a well built suction mount so is easy to transfer.
More updates to follow with more playing.

I did go through the process of mounting my 10" laptop on the dash but it was to clumbsy, the beauty of this thing is its now much heavier than a usual nav unit..
