How Can I get Year of Manufacture for G class ?

H get the vin/chassis number WDB..................... 17 digits and put it on the forum...somebody will access the MB records for your G' specification details and that will have the date of the original order included in the spec.....

Hi according to the specification data one has the OM617 engine and the other the OM616....the performance should be better with the OM617 engine....

2- I thought the 300 or 240 code is for the engine displacement but both of theses Gs is 5L engine ! does the difference in body design ?

If you mean 5 litre and not 5 cylinder, then it must be an aftermarket conversion. Most likely using the M117 V8 from the W126 500 SE/L. Good power but fuel thirsty. Also must check everything works well as conversions vary greatly in quality...

Hi the M50 code showing 5L means that a factory fitted radiator of larger coolant capacity is installed..given the high ambient temperature and elevation around Khartoum this would be well justified..the OM 616 engine is 4 cylinder and the OM 617 5 cylinder diesels...performance of the 4 cylinder will be poor compared to the 5 cylinder...a test drive of each G' along the "Kilometre 40 Road" will give you an idea of which one to buy!!

Hi both these numbers should be read from the chassis number stamped into the chassis frame just to the rear of the passenger side front wheel ....for confirmation!! and on the data plate rivetted to the air intake duct behind the engine as they do not print out the vehicle information in the format you have provided ....
