Typical!
Spent the last week or so using the G's on Dartmoor in the snow and ice....didn't have a problem once and had brilliant fun.
Tonight we had more snow. Guess what I had to leave my 460 at work and walk home
Why? because Plymouth became Gridlocked because of a little slush
But back to Driving in snow in a G. The 463 is very competant and needs to be forced to lose traction or grip...however once sliding a LWB takes a long distace to stop.
The 460 is just fun. The transferbox really comes into its own seamlessly slipping between 2 & 4 wd as required, or more correctly, anticipated!
Long Live the G!
Hello are chains legal in the uk or even studs ?
As far as I understand, studs legal though getting hard to find studable tyres and even harder to find a tyre fitter with a stud gun.
Chains , sure if you use them in snowy conditions no problem, you wouldn't run them on dry roads !
Recovered my neighbours stuck M Class on 1:6 hill that you couldn't stand up on, fully chained G easily pulled it up, no way without chains!
I've just got a full set of Pewag Chains and sliding around is virtually nill, You can actually go where you want, grip on icystuff amazing.
