The snow has been here since the 17th last month, the crazy thing is that it's getting worse!!! The depth is about 25cm at the moment... slightly less than a foot. I actually need to use low range to get home these few days.

Since I don't have a digital camera, I will post some pics when they are developed!

Even stranger that in the UK we never get any news about how the rest of Europe is doing! Since we are now thawing, we assume the continent is too. It was pretty cold a couple of days ago though - like being at 3000m.

The next crisis will be the price of cabbages and potatoes as all the farmers claim everything got frozen and supply is an issue. That and the resulting flooding from the thaws.. Ho Hum.

It maybe thawing in the sunlite uplands of the south however in the marches we had 5 inches of snow last night and it didn't stop until late morning. Worst driving comditions since the snow arrived in mid December.

Oh and more tomorrow, so warmer yes its improved from -11c to -1c but with more snow.

Yep. Looks like 'fun', unless you work the land for a living.
Its the hills which make it really dodgy - once you start slipping....

Finally some pics...

Sorry I am using the scanner at uni and I don't really know how to operate it, hence the small size.

They are taken in the morning of 18/12/09, the second day of snow. The snow is still here as of this very moment...

For those who are interested, they were taken with a Leica M6 with 50mm f/2. I am waiting for my roll of Kodachrome to come back... sent it off a few days ago.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAHAHA!!!!!! I really think that those annoy people should stop blaming global warming on big car drivers... I am sure those 'disposable cars' do more damage to the environment!!!

The theory is that the car manufacturers spend so much energy and material on developing a rubbish car, such as those new little ones. They are so rubbish that could only last for less than 10 years. Then people dump them, but they are built with loads of plastic parts that is no recyclable! what a laugh!
