Re: cb radio

Hi EasyDeluxe. Mine sits upright along the rear end of the transmission tunnel. I have taken out the ash tray and running wires in/out from here is no problem. The live wire runs all the way to the back (this is where the battery is on the G500) and is fused there independently as I want a live connection to the radio at all times (i.e. radio is functional with ignition off). I also have a worklight arrangement in the rear and effectively the antenna wire goes out with the wiring for these through the rear floor: not ideal, but functional. The antenna wire is shrouded all the way through to avoid 'noise' from the car. The speaker is quite powerful and I've never had problems listening to conversations, but my wife has some troubles. I'm thinking of fitting a remote speaker on the dash as a result. Hope that helps/ph
