It’s not Clever and it’s Not Funny
Well after the event it was funny
Result of a failed hill assent and how NOT to recover from it. Note the skid marks (don’t think I’ll post any pictures of the more personal skid marks that were a by product)
Nearly a perfect J turn though  If only the road had been wider or the G shorter
Oddly enough the ABS didn’t maintain directional stability in the event of an emergency situation whilst travelling backwards at a rather rapid rate :? :?

Oh and some very childish/ASBO behaviour on video
real snow not the 3-4 inches we've had have to agree about the abs though bordering on completely useless!

sitting here writing a presenation on health economics and you have put a smile right over my face! hope you didnt get laughed at to hard by others!
Tom - really really misses having a G now!
re the video......... Snow Doughnuts - great, though there was a rather annoying noise in the background that sounded like someone had thrown a bag of nails into an engine.... :P
Re the 'Bottle neck' stop - now renamed as the 'Russkid' - I will have to get back to you as I am laughing so much, it hurts!

Hi Russ. Nice video. I have to confess myself to taking my 7-year old boy out to a nearby field in the Pinzgauer (excuse to the wife, to show him how the 'diff locks work'.......). Doughnuts galore!!! Fun for both of the kids in the Pinz. Stay safe/Ph
Russ. SWMBO had loaded the shotgun before realising it was a friendly and had the kettle on and the kinetic rope ready, she thought the quad bike would do but was getting the freelander seat heaters on just in case it was a serious problem :D
New toy will defintly be out over the weekend although we had better not say what it is in case I am black balled 8) hope I don't have to recover you that would be too bad :D
must find a way of editing video i have a great movie of me opposite locking a drifting quad bike in the snow whilst "working from home"
new sport of towing the kids back up the hill in the sledging field by quad is fun, however I had to check if it was okay to laugh after SWMBO had gone face first into the snow at 20 kph for the third time within a 100 feet
we used to tie a wooden sledge behind the quads and go for it around the fields, still dont forget the fun of sliding out behind the quad at what felt like a bijillion miles an hour, we managed to get snow in between every layer and even in the motorbike helmets!
Russ up for a play at the weekend, the top of the wayfayer Saturday perhaps visbility better than the blizzard expected sunday...... should test out the steering guard.
New toy getting a few more bhp soon enough even to haul G type weight
Just need a KAM diff locker and away we go :D
why a kam, and not arb.

Similar thing happened to me once... going downhill too fast on very slimy clay. The rear started to want to overtake the front. Luckily, I managed not to touch the brakes and just let the G go until it stopped. Hairy moment, 'cause it would have been very easy to roll over.
What tyres are you running on? Also did you drop the pressure?
really pleased I managed to get up my hill when all Farmer stuff not making L200, Ford Rangers etc!
