Hello people,
I have no time now but I will introduce later as a new member. Now I please all of You to help me. Today (first day became a member and problems starts, ha ha) I started engine normal without any trouble. After 50km I tried put A-transmission from D to P but it was blocked on D position and it das`nt allow any movement. It is fortunately taht I was in parking place. So, everything operated normally AT shift was excellent, engine, electronic no problems no warning. What`s happened? Is there something I can try to inspect (I understand mechanic quite good and I can do lot of operation) I suspect on fuses but I need your opinions. :?:

common problem on m class if im getting what your describing right. on the gear shift, there is a little button at the bottom of the P R N D bit that usually clicks down if you press it. get a pen/pencil and push this down a long way, this should release your selector.

hope this helps

Tom

Problem solved.
It was snow that charged space around ATrany, TC and all others. Snow was veri sticky and wet. One hour later I riched R position carefully. When I came back later afternoon shift gear operated fully. There was`nt snow on the road any more. I wonder HOW MB after 30 years experiance of G manufacturing can allow something like that.
I tried to release like you said at the bottom of the PRND but failed, it was blocked mechanicaly
Very useful experiance
All in all I love this car
