Hi All

I have a replacement leather gear knob that i need to fit is it a case of just using a little force to remove the old one or is there some sort of lock nut that needs removing ?

Cheers

Re: Gear Knob

Lift up the rubber gaiter, by prising it off the base clips...

Pull up + you'll see a nut and bolt...loosen and then sinply twist off.

Assuming of course the 463 is the same as the 460.

Re: Gear Knob

Hi All

Just a quick update it is not possible to remove the auto gear selector knob as it is moulded on to the shaft I ended up cutting off the old knob fitting a spline over the existing shaft and fitting a new S Class leather knob, It took about 45 mins to complete

Cheers
