Trans Africa Expedition: With Mercedes G-Wagen to South Africa

You are looking for the "once in a lifetime experience"? Then take the chance and join an overland trip to the Football World Championship in South Africa 2010. A unique adventure trip with a lasting purpose On the occasion of the World Football Championship 4 Mercedes Benz G-Class vehicles will be driven overland to Cape Town.

At their final destination the 4 expedition vehicles will be donated to charity and passed into reliable hands. During the trip the expedition participants - eight people per each section - will experience a luxurious adventure trip through Africa and at the same time will be sensitised to the concerns of the continent through this experience.

Travelling time can be chosen flexibly and may range from 7 - 42 days. The expedition will take place from April 23rd until June 4th, 2010. We will experience a genuine Arabia and Africa: Deserts, oceans, mountain landscapes, fertile highlands, and savannahs rich in wildlife (Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater); the mighty snow-covered Mount Kenya, the Kilimanjaro, the Ocavango Delta, the Kalahari, and the Victoria Falls. Challenging off-road passages lead through sand, rain forest, and the impressive wildlife of the savannahs. For more informations visit the official website [ http://www.Transafrika2010.com ].

its those new grills, no one likes them so they are giving them away

Seriously though it looks like lots of fun but given my age, general decrepitude, fear of malaria, snakes, tsetse flies, bad food, war, kidnapping and heat I'll just be following the pictures. Some aspects of nature are best experienced vicariously. Hope you enjoy the journey.
