Indicators on the top of the front wings (460)
Just got my car back from a throughly excellent service; it was missing on a couple of cyclinders and now runs perfect.
I was told the engine had built up significant deposits of carbon and it needed a good blast to clear it. So i took the car up to 80 and drove along...
Then the front indicator blew off...and i cant get the damn thing back into the housing
Any tips would be most appreciated. Its the glass part that needs relocating into the base.
Hi the edge of the amber cover recesses into a groove around the black base..this base gets hard with age which makes it difficult to push in.the two star head screws locate into a plastic frame around the light bulb and break easily...clean out the groove in the base and apply a small amount of TIGERSEAL all the way round ..press the cover into the groove and hold for ten munutes..to remove cover at any time slice through the tigerseal wiith a Stanley blade.. alternative is a new light assembly and the aggro' of fitting it.....
I had again! The same problem with both my ones! I tried everything from fibre glass to tryingto create one out of metal and I ended up buying the whole indicator light set from German eBay and had it imported for a good price

Thank you so much, will get this done tonight. I think whoever had the car before me must have replaced the bulbs, had the same probelm and just tightend the screws on top far too tight. Like you said the plastic bracket inside the light has cracked near the screw heads. Will araldite fix this? or is that too brittle?
Thaks again
