Just got a call from a friend in London who is shipping his G back to New Zealand in 2 weeks time. So we thought it would be a good idea to meet before he and the G leave uk shores. Anyway we are planning to meet for lunch on Sunday 20th somewhere in london. If anyone else can make it for a few hours let me know and well sort out a venue. Maybe meet up first an go for a drive before stopping for lunch.

Cheers.

I think half the people showing up won't be in a G! Come in the other car... or too cold?

Wow Ferdi your wheels got nicked? I had better stick my locking nuts on mine!

Lunch is definately on, but I just havent had a chance to think about where. ANy suggestions welcome.

For those without a G dont worry as my car will be empty. I suggest meeting up in either Hyde or Regents Park. You can leave your cars there and we can go down in the Gs.

It's the spares that are getting nicked. Put a padlock on them.

Would be great to get a ride in yours. Am wondering just how good G270s are... thinking one could be on the horizon...

A man who drives an Alfa deserves respect. Of course you are welcome!

Why thank you, I'm flattered... Although as with any alfa, "drives" is a loose term... I'm more the guy who "cares" for her when she wants to work... 8) ...and pays to get her going again when she doesn't want to work properly - which, as I'm sure you know, is VERY often!

It's a 75 turbo evoluzione, which in my mind is the last real alfa (rear wheel drive, transaxle, de dion rear).. But man, does she have a bloody temper.

It must be because she's a redhead.

Don't get me started! Please!!  (but I know what you mean! )
75... what a great car - a mate of mine had a 3.0 V6, tuned exhaust, in black with all the green cloverleaf interior and badges, man what a great car, sounded great, drove great and was temperamental - just what you expect from an Alfa!

Hello Modificata,

I don't think I could attend because Eurotunnel has 4 broken down trains inside the tunnel at the moment... Don't even know when can I come back :-/

Best wishes

Pok

Hi all. Just spoke to Ben and we've decided not to meet due to the bad weather. His car is in Oxford and the weather for the next 24 hours is not good. We are going to try to meet between 28th dec and 3rd jan. Sorry guys but maybe around then. Will let you know.

And what a shambles that was , 12 hours stuck in the tunnel , bloody disgrace, no emergency plan, how can it take so long to get a tug train and pull it out FFs, and going from cold to a warm tunnel! The tube trains have been doing it for 50 plus years!
