I know it has nothing to do with G's, but does anyone have any contacts for cheap flights? I urgently needs to go to South Africa (Monday)

Thanks

Re: Flights

I usually check the following websites and go with the best deal:
lastminute.com
expedia.co.uk
ebookers
ba.com
emirates
etihad (good deals)
plus local airlines.

Re: Flights

www.kayak.com has proven to be excellent as of late... the airline industry even uses it to benchmark, must be good.

Emirates have a special offer on at the moment, for the world cup, but you need to book before a certain time in December (soon). Around £450 I gather (through Dubai), or if can fly cheaply intra-Africa, take the £406 to Nairobi. Many options from within the UK (Birmingham, Manchester, Heathrow, etc).

If you try places like ebooker always phone them. Strangely you can get better prices than on their web sites :?

Re: Flights

Thanks for the advice.

Had an amazing time, but I won't rub it in.

We came home 06/01 and took off at 37'C and landed after some delay on the coldest bloody day in over 30 years in -14 on Manchester! What a shock, it is the coldest I have ever been in my life!

We've been having great fun on the farm though, I made a 6" wooden sledge and my G is now the official village sledge puller and some kids even ski'd behind it. I always go in low range, so the revs are way up there, but we are actually going very slowly, making it quite safe fun.

What is nicest of all is the fact that to date I have towed 2 90's a RR.

I don't know if I am mistaken, but I really don't think my big wheels are any help on the ice, if it goes, it goes...

So far all is good, but tomorrow I need to put out some grain for the deer, so towing a trailer in this will be interesting.

Let the good times slide!
