G55: grey or black leather! Help...He says black, I grey!
You will have a hard time arguing with them, that is the MB colour known as "anthrazit" or anthracite, grayish black, as close as you'll get to black from the factory, without going for a designo option.
you gonna buy it then?

It's black - I think the camera is just overexposing...

Thought all G55Ks had designo leather as standard...

Indeed, I stand corrected. That is what the little oval badge on the seats of AMG models says.
Perhaps I meant they could get you a "real" black rather than the anthracite if you wanted, and were willing to foot the bill, as then they'd have to match all the other bits too.
Designo was an option on G55Ks.
2005 model year on 04 plate for the asking price is relatively cheap. Plus, an extra set of winter alloys. Ask to have its VIN number and service history for verification. These beasts no matter how reliable are costly to repair due to complexity, if it has not been looked after. I have come across a few in Germany.
Colourwise, I personally prefer the grey or flint grey to black or silver, with opposing interior colour (grey/black or black/silver) which are quite rare to find in Europe.
If all is in order, I will envy your purchase because I am hankering after one!!!!!
I have asked the same,
Change the lights
Change to Miles per hour (not kilos)
That would seem it,
MOT, Bobs your uncle., Register.
Shout me if/when you are going over I would be keen to join (if pos) as I am very close to A G500 purchase from Germany too.
Threads on the lights don't seem overly expensive.
Kilometer to MPH does seem a legal requirement.
Correct me on the above please??
Mot £50
surely you can get them to do those changes as part of the deal? (Lights, KPH to MPH?) we did after all win both wars and a world cup and you are spending some serious dosh!

Nice! - Totally concur !!!!
Just spoke to him..not so cheap after all..price was excluding vat! With euro/£ rate not quite amazing!
Hmmm ... the seller is selling it as a business concern to attract interested parties. My understanding is if it is a privately used car or company use, then the VAT is already paid. With the VAT then, the total purchase cost is more in aligned with EU market prices, hence the stated offer price.
Why not consider an import from the US, which I plan to do i nthe near future.
Ferdi,
How about this as an example from the US. Copy the link below:

Nice car Ferdi
would the vat have to be paid whilst exporting it to another country
and are you vat reged if so you will not have to pay it
I now have the vin number... ..does any one know how to get information from it?
Once you read this link about importing from usa..you dont want to! any visions of cheap cars is destroyed by hassle and taxes galore...
My thoughts are not a for cheap car, but a good deal given the availability over here in Europe. I am looking at a pewter, flint grey, or grey/blue G55, which in Europe there are essentially none, only silver or black. Hence, the US route. That said there area number of standard options which differ to EU models, though can be retro fitted anyway (if needed .... more toys!). My calculations, work out at approx. 10k plus/minus 1.5k EUR difference (incl. shipping/registration fees) to an equivalent EU model, so savings can be had, if you are patient enough to go through the paperwork jungle.

Dude,
one of the best examples of a RHD WITH THE BEST PLATE EVER (G55 AMG) is on at 90K - I bet you could whittle them down a bit - its silver - get it scratched up and then resprayed to what ever colour you want!
And before anyone makes to the comment or asks the question - I have been vetoed by Mrs Spider, I seriously was looking at this - Very nice Truck and One Lab - I can always have the rear seat put in!
Seriously take a look! - Mind you, you get it I will not speak to you again f we meet.
Spider1V
2001 onwards there is a digital speedo as well, so should be no need for a new speedo. There about £480 + fitting on the 96 > 2000 models.
spiderman/boy,
What site is this little beast you reference?!
spiderboy... hah hah....

At 90K GBP you can buy a 2008/2009 G55K in Germany though LHD. At that price, I would be hung, drawn and quartered by the wife!! You see the wife has a shoe fetish! (but don't let her know) :P
Though, with the G55 plate it would be the bee's knees! ... Go on Spider there are only 1 in the UK with that exclusive plate ... go on .. .you know you want it ... go on ....
