That is ABSOLUTE numbers! Not percentage!

The same story goes on to say that Schrempp's own Armor-Plated S600 was stolen when he parked it for 20 mins, all sat nav, lo-jack etc, devices were disabled and it was GONE!

The ALL apparently end up in Moscow. President Putin drives one.

Nothing to do with the quality of the G (top in the list are Mercs Bms and Audis)...... it's simply a reflection of the love of the eastern European mafia for the G. They want it, whatever the cost.

It's like the robbing this week of the armoured XLWB S600 of the Chairman of DaimlerChrysler. It had satellte tracking and the lot buy it was duly disabled by the very professional gangster who stole it.

The press over here is wondering to whom on earth are they going to sell such a visible car.... to Mugabe perhaps?

Cheers

I've always thought that once a company installs a security system on a range of vehicles that are all the same in installation and operation, then potential theives have it easy as they need only strip one car down to establish where everything is installed, how it works and the direct route to disabling it quickly. The theives work like computer hackers trying to sort out the access codes to whatever computer controlss the security system, once they have some thing that works then all vehicles of that type are vunerable until the manufacturer changes the fundimental design. All the wiring loomes are in the same place connector sockets central computer..
But it is still amazing to take a one off vehicle.
