Re: Unimog axles (again ?!)

u100 axles they are the lightest to keep the un sprung weight down, come as standard with higher pinnion ratio but they wont just bolt up you'll have to rotate the diff and reposition it to line up with the prop. its easier to just buy a 100l there getting more common and someone on the net has even made a double cab version. plus on a short wheel base g its not going to be very stable its easier to put some big tyres on your g with a body and spring lift uprate your cv's and away you go :D

Hmm I am bringing this back to top !

I have the choice to buy axles from 411 and 404 (u100 are hard to come by).Are these ok for my G or I have to wait for U100 ones ?
Also I heard for 424 axles any info on these ??

Thanks guys!

Re: Unimog axles (again ?!)

U1000 axles are a lot heavier than 404's!

If your choice is between 411's and 404's then 404's are the most suitable.

As the 411 are too narrow a track for a g wagon

404's will still need a lot of mods.

you might be better to swap transfer case to something with the correct ofset for the 404's
