Greetings. Sounds like a nice G. And don't mind the banter on here - it's all very tongue in cheek.

Hello and welcome Dimitrios... fancy a visit to the ELBO factory? Here it is!
welcome dimitri !!
look forward to seeing the pics too !
welcome and a very interesting post. So a large number of ex Greek Army g-wagens will be on sale soon? Is the rear suspension on the pick up the same as a lwb or is it modified and can you tell us of the likely price, I really like these things and would like to buy one.
Paul
Might be easier to ship without engine and transmission then source the ones you want over here anyways???? Could always try and find a nice 560 to go in it....
Now one question: was you G assembled at ELBO or made at Graz?
This is an Graz assembled...
Rgds,
Hi Dimitrios,
welcome in the best Gsite. I have an almost identical car (ex-border police), 290 turbo diesel, auto.
The army and police car all were built in Greece (ELBO).
My best regards
Angelos
Thank you all guys for your kind words :D
Sadly today was a rainy cloudy day so no pictures wet...
Mortinson : I have see your visit to ELBO factory pics looks good !
Now the army decomissioned about 3000 (!) 240 GD,and 290 GD (pick up).
I will get one 240 also seems very capable compared to the LWB...
Rgds to all
Dimitrios
