When I measure the front wheel to arch and back wheel to arch there is 3" difference So it looks like it is lower at the back. There ain't much stuff in it. Any ideas why??
I could be wrong but I am sure it wasn't like that!

Mine sits a little like that, not as much as 3" difference though. I think on standard springs there should be between 4" and 5" between top of tyre and underside of wheel arch. If you have less then the springs may be shot; more and someone may have put higher springs on one axle. That's what I think has happened to mine.

My money would be on broken rear coil springs.

Isn't there a standard difference in clearance between front and rear? I think the front wheels always have more room. Three inches is a lot though and broken springs are common (I've had that too; no nasty sounds, no noticable difference in handling, just sitting lower one day).

There might be some variation font to back, but not that much, and left and right should definitely be the same. Any significant variation is an indication of something amiss. It could be broken or dislodged spring (dislodge is unlikely unless you have been doing soemthing extreme) or even defective bushes or shock absorber.

Mine has had its suspension raised and has 8" between top of tyre and lower edge of wheel arch on all four wheels, so I guess it's pretty even all round.
