dash gauges??

hi all, I'm looking to fit some 52mm gauges the the dash of a 460 and am thinking of mounting them where the center air vent is now as I never use it, dont fancy a dash top pod, had thought of a pod upside down under the heater controls but it would block access to the storage compartment thats handy for keys phone wallet etc.
anyone ever see this done before, any pictures?

I am with you in not liking most dash top pods but I was taken by this effort by another G Owner. It is the closest to looking original in my view.

I have 2 gauges in the ash tray slot, 2 in a rectangular block on top ofthe dash to the right ( against the front pillar) and one more in the small panel to the right of the steering column.

Looks very cluttered from these pics but not in real life
