Hello everyone, I have a 460 SWB to which we have fitted a high output m117 560 engine and car auto box we found that the steady bar between gearbox and transfer box could no longer be fitted. But now we qare suffering a vibration from the driveline under acceleration which goes on coasting or off load. The vib is still there with either prop removed the intermediate prop between transfer and gearbox was new. I was wondering if the missing steady bar was allowing a misalignment under load? Can anyone tell me if they suffer a similar vibration on road and if they have managed to refit the steady bar to the car type auto box? Thanks

Re: G560 Vibration

What engine mounts have you used?, I take it you have the gearbox mounted on a support, on rubber bushes, I had a 560 in my 463, but can't remember what bracket you are talking about. I remember having a vibration when acceleration which was more like a torque judder, but smooth other than that, can we see photos of installation from underneath

Hi
I dont think you can remove the vibration under acceleration it is a lot af power been put down on the road we suffer with a similar vibration with our 500 but we also are runing with a 4 inch. lift and 36 inch tires on a homemade beadlockrim 10 inch wide.
