Importing g from ireland
Hi
I'm hoping one the ireland members can help.I'm looking at buying a g from northern ireland and was wondering how hard is it to bring a g over from ireland, regarding paperwork, how much will it cost etc etc
Thanks
Hi NO formalities whatsoever...just pay your money and drive it home...a northern Ireland MOT is valid in GB a Northern ireland number plate can be retained.make sure you get the complete V5 less the "Permanent Export" (purple section) notification which the seller must send to DVA Coleraine..... which G' are you buying??? as we know the tech state of most of them.....
Just done it in the opposite direction. Its just a bit of paper work to sort out. Call the DVLA in swansea, they will tell you exactly what needs done. The only cost was fuel and boat/plane tickets.
Hi It was through the workshop 2 years ago.. complete brake system refurbish.new steering damper.tappets reset and pump re-timed.some electrics.wiper spindles. all fluids replaced...immaculate interior......overcarpets. dog guard and load cover...original spec' was steel wheels and no arches.....Kenlowe fan fitted.....Gary has spent a lot of money on it and used it very little....best of luck with your purchase......
