Hi,

Maybe somebody can help with info how to connect terratrip to w463? I got used Eltrip R6. Dunno how to connect it to my w463 :)
In manual there is wires to connect to sensors, how I understand in w463 all is electronically...

Re: Terratrip for w463

You got yourself a tough job there.
The wheel sensor has to be securely mounted about 2mm away from a wheel stud or something rotating ie. driveshaft or wheel hub to work effectively.
Some work with an adapter fitted between the speedo cable and feed back to the unit(older mechanical unit). Yours sounds like the sensor version which will be hard to fit on an off roader.
Your best bet might be to contact someone like ORC in Germany as they done this before and would lead you in the correct direction if nobody else replies to you here with more info.

Regards,

Mike

Re: Terratrip for w463

Thanks for answer! :)
Germany is too far for me, I think I can find some specialist closer to me. Only I wanted to do it in two days, to get it working till weekend for Latvian Trophy-Raid championship last stage.
I contacted one busy friend, he tested this on Landrover and said sensor need to be connected to wire of speedometer and thats all - its counting only pulse. How I understand must be producing 3-3.5v pulse.
Will try to connect it in evening after job... :)
P.S. If somebody has w463 `94 diagram about electronic in speedometer, that could be very help full. :)
