Last night my spare wheel was stolen from a reasonably busy street in Holland Park.

So, watch out if you have a G in london, the f*^$!ers might be building their way up to a full set.

Re: Crims

Yep, cover was on. They levered off the lock and left both the cover and ring neatly next to the car. Weird...
BTW, anyone know where I can get a reverse wheel mount?

Re: Crims

Sorry to hear of your loss. Do you know that there is provision for a 2" padlock to lock to wheel more securely?
Likely the thief is not a G owner and the wheel may appear for sale on various sites. eyes open

Re: Crims

Hi culprit could be collecting aluminium for scrap...our local metal recovery plant gets an average of 100 alloy wheels a week (no cars attached) G' alloy rims would weigh better than a beer barrel --and less obvious....keep someones "habit" fed for another 24 hours!!!!

Re: Crims

Yup - as Roly says. Put a padlock on it. But wrap it in something or else it always rattles when you hit bumps....

Re: Crims

Hey Roly,
Is this something merc supply or are you just suggesting buying one that locks the outercasing?

Re: Crims

There is a hole in the wheel bracket tube which you put a standard padlock through. This prevents the wheel being slid off the bracket.
