now this is probably a silly question - but my G320CDI is a 5 door one, so two rows of seats. The second row is split into a 2 and a 1 - the question is can I make that row of seats go flat, or lift out? There is a lever on them that does something - I can't work out what - and it doesn't seem to be in the book - I don't want to break it! I can unlatch them and tip them forward, but I'd really like to fold them flat somehow - what does the lever on the side do grrrrr

Cheers Mike

hi mike on my 463 the levers on the sides of the seats allow the backs to fold down onto the bases, then the levers located on the base accessible from back of vehicle allow the base with the folded back to lift and fold foreward against the front seats, they dont lift out david

Hi - there are three positions on the seats.

1) backs up for sitting
2) backs down but seat bases unmoved
3) backs down and seat base flipped up pushing the seat right against the front seats for maximum space

You can also remove the seats but you need a special tool to reinstall them. It's kind of like extended vice grips that compress the spring where it mounts on the body.
