New G55 AMG Wheels
Just thought I'd share these pics of my new AMG wheels. Gives an amazing improvement to the handling of the car. Sorry the photos are not great, but I'll try and take some better ones tomorrow.

just curious, is there a law in UK/EU that says the wheeel/tire must be inside the fender?
Hi wheels outside the profile of the vehicle is not acceptable for road use with most insurance companies ..no insurance...not legal...the wheels within the profile will cause the vehicle to be considered as "modified" and attract a premium which recognises that fact...

In my defense - they had just been back and forth to Wales.... it was Clay and not mud....It was my first Time..... I WANTED to see what it was like being winched.....
OK so I did not quite make it, but I think Modificata you should get down to the 'Fish Killer Playground' and give it a whirl!

what dıd they set you back? doesnt matter really i guess, thay look great.
put a set bfg at's on the 18's and you can have fun with the boys. just make sure you are infront of spider as he loves getting stuck :P

I just had a look at the pics again and it looks like the sheels are sticking out about a foot. In reality the wheels hardly stick out at all (probably about 10mm max). I was planning on changing the arches anyway, and may even change the rear lights and front grill to bring it upto the 2010 look.

Thanks Hus. I tried to get them discounted but since they are the new style nobody could over me a super deal. In the end I got them from Alloywheelsdirect.co.uk who were a little cheaper than Mercedes. They got them over within a week with the tyres.
I've got a bit of a space issue right now otherwise I would have considered keeping the old ones. Besides I sold the idea to the mrs based on the fact that I would sell the old ones. Must keep her happy!

I thought about that too, but in six years of ownership i've been ofroading once and that was at the photoshoot. I'll much rather buy an old G which I dont mind getting scratched etc. Mind you I dont think that will happen as we just went from 3 cars to 2, and now are looking to go to just the G!
