I am a deployed soldier in Afghanistan. We found sitting in the back of my motor pool a really run down 240. The engine looks sound and body also. the wiring harness inside and out though has been completely distroyed. I have leads that we dont know where they go to and some that are compeletly missing. The fuel cap is also missin off the back. I am a pretty good mechanic but dont know where to star with this project. I know the first would be the wiring. i have looked online for the manual but cant find any really out there just on this vehicle. Any help????

Not a problem I can get both of them tomorrow. We spent the past few days working on getting it running. We were able to start it up today but there is no kill switch and the dead man switch doesnt work at all. Will be posting pictures soon I hope.

Hi Joe the engine stop is vacuum fed from the ignition switch to a diaphragm on the side of the injector pump, via the vac pump on thr front of the engine... unless it is ex military..they had some perculiar retrofit modifications..the Vin Number from the data plate behind the engine on the heater air intake duct or off the chassis leg to the rear of the front wheel ......will tell you what way it was supplied "ex factory" and to whom.......
