Weird question help involving wiring a USB connection?!?!?!

This is a little irelevant but its still being done in a G wagen!!!
I want to wire in a USB port so I can charge my Ipod/Iphone via it...
I dont really want to go via the cigarette lighter as they always look tacky but I could wire the cig lighter into the glove box
With the help of FrogWagen I wired a USB port to the internals of the lighter so it is invisible and the lighter still usable.
Essentially I had a spare USB to 12v charger lying about which we broke open and then spliced it into the existing wiring.
Works a treat and was pretty simple to do.
no you need a 12v usb charger for the car to convert voltage. just break off the "plug" part and wire that in.

ahhh id guess its just 4 leads 1 to each terminal on the usb end? What goes where or is that not for you to answer :P
