Well folks, any welsh members near Lampeter Dyfed?

If so would suggest that you clear out for a week - the Southerners from London in the Chelsea Tractor will be there on holiday, for a whole week! :P

we plan to meet Up with Russ280 sometime during next week, and happy to do like wise for anyone else who is around. Some advice on kid friendly places would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Wales

Lampeter is ok for an afternoon or even a pub crawl but its not an exciting place to stay or even visit; the University College there devotes itself to Bible classes. In all honesty Joe I would go to either the Gower, west of Swansea, Pembrokeshire or even the Ceridigion coast before I would chose to go there. This sounds a bit like I am slagging the place off which I am not, there's nothing wrong with it as such, it is just that there are better places to go on holiday.

Maybe it is good thing if they go there then...

At least it keeps them out of North Wales.

Re: Wales

Well what a great time, when it was raining 0 at least it was warm!

Many thanks to Russ280 and Family for hosting us around Harlech and North Wales and to PRWales for hosting and looking after us in the South!

We had a 'Wale' of a time and even got to do some 'Green Laning' just outside Aberystwyth near a huge Dam/Reservoir - as it was only me and the Kids - Clare made me stick to the easy routs and no going off the beaten track........ Maybe a nice session up there sometime??? 8)

LEEU - sorry you could not make it bud - look forward to seeing you on the next trip!

OneLab.. apologies, we decided to do some shopping in Swansea on the way back - but will hold you to the coffee when we do the AGM

Once again thanks all

Re: Wales

No worries - see you at the AGM. Leeu - Don't apologise for the weather, it's the gentle rain keeps it all so green and lovely over here...............I'd rather be here than on the Underground in August, or any other month come to think of it.

Re: Wales

Good to see you all Joe, excellent company and food :D :D

I don’t know any lanes around Maentwrog (The “Famous” Grapes Inn, where we met) but further south there are some stunning lanes around Barmouth such as Happy Valley:
