Re: rear left brake/road light and front spotlights stopped

Good day to all.

I had a similar problem with my 280GE. It turned out to be a problem with
the two connectors on the inside fender. Mine is a LHD so your connectors may be on the other side. I took them apart, cleaned and greased them and put them back together . No problem since.

One of the earth connections is on the rear tube of the chassis. On my 230G it is in the coloured circle. On my 280GE it is a bit more to the right.
Hope it will be of some help.

Hey well I cleaned that earth and it seemed to of helped but NOW (haha) when I have the night lights on and I brake it doesn't appear to dim or brighten the rear light :(

also the rear right light now is having bad problems I have a cable with 2leads going to one pin that gives the brake light but on the left it is a single lead! Now i wired up the right brake light and the right night light and it melted the plastic around it!!!!

Now Im really stuffed and need mega help as I have mot on Monday :(

Many thanks for ur help so far :]

Joe
