Help needed Mot in the morning
Hi All . 460 , 280 Auto going for Mot in the morning (sat) . Cant find reverse light switch . this auto box doesnt have a switch on the inside of the car where the aouto gear leaver shifts from gear to gear by the movement of your hand and that you can see if sitting inside the car .There is another switch somewhere under the car around the gear box I was told before but cant locate this . All advise will be appreciated
Its on the side of the gearbox, i think on the left hand side, its called the inhibitor switch and is also responsible for you only being able to start the car in neutral or park. Follow the connecting rod from the bottom of the gear stick/selector backwards to it.

My Fault I couldnt find it .
Will get the mechanic to have a look. Car Failed on wheel bearing play on left wheel front and also on Suspension mounting on right hand back .
Marty said that he has somebody that has done his suspension mountings . So marty have to give you a shout .
Also it was the first gwagen that this NCT " MOt" centre has done and they couldnt find the corresponding chassis number so might have woken up marty when I called him to ask . " Sorry Marty"

I thought you got the front bearings replaced before !
maybe they need tightened ?
did you get them checked recently
how long have you got to apply for retest ?
Whats the rear mounting ?

I thought you got the front bearings replaced before ! Ye but the one that was replaced had more play in the one that wasnt and the one that wasnt replaced or had no play was the one they failed . Typical
maybe they need tightened ? Thats what I think , but I also think that I might have to replace this one that failed in the future
did you get them checked recently . I did with a local mechanicAnd he said the one with all the play would fail ?/// But thats not the one that failed.
how long have you got to apply for retest ? Till the 10 AUgust . Or else re do the whole test
Whats the rear mounting ? ITS the bit that houses the rear spring on the sides of the spring and the but that the spring sits in on the top
