just as a matter of intrest, is the 2.9 turbo unit in the musso ,a mercedes unit, & does oit fit the G ?? I seen a few of these for scrap @ £100-250.. seems alot of car for that..& year 2000 +

with some mods
I believe there's a member round here somewhere with a number of G's, one of them with a Musso engine. Anything fits with mods but I think the musso engine is merc based so less would/should be required.

go and see G wagen James he's got a 460 he fitted with the Musso, has to be seen to be belived!

I'll endeavour to look him up. Despite the fact he has 8 (is that right?) I rarely see any around...although there is a red SWB 460 that comes from that direction I think.....
Must have sold a couple. I've seen a Red SWB up there set up with winch etc. not one of his.
Engine is OM602, 5-cylinder, 2.9 litre N/A diesel, as fitted to the contemporary 290GD so it should fit without major modifications.
A nice engine... and I agree, a lot of car for that cash!
just read the post in the diesle section, intresting..worth bearing in mind, if i win the pools or lotto..& retire early :lol: ....bet it makes the diffrence tho, but so does a £1500 for nissan terrano :shock: :lol:
