Can someone tell me how you remove the catch that allows the rear window to slide backwards (it's the one mounted through the glass which you push down).

Having had a quick look I can see no obvious screws or cover removal?

cheers Andy

Thanks Fixwin.

Does the cover clip off? slide on / off?

Is it easy to remove glass from side windows? (contemplating tinting them)

cheers Andy

Just butting in so I can keep track of this one. Mine need to come out and have the felt seal between the two panes replaced. It's horrible atm!

Hi the cover slides upwards..to replace felt channels and draught excluders the window assembly has to be removed from the vehicle....held in place with a profiled rubber seal it is easy to remove but requires a cord laid in the groove of the seal to pull the rubber into the metal surround when re installing.....you can remove a section of the metal window frame to permit you to remove the glass and replace the channels/excluders...some windscreen installer specialists have the right profile channel ..(expensive from MB)
